If you get tired of the exciting buzzling city and want to get some fresh air, here are some parks recommendation in Seoul. Those are the most famous one but do not hesitate to check around your area as there is many small parks in every neighborhood. Also if you live not to far from Han River, there is park all along the river on each side.
SEOUL FOREST, to get lost in nature

This park opened in 2005 was used in the past for royal hunting and then served as a military inspection facility. It is now 5 parks who spreads over 595 000 square meter. Itโs an eco-friendly zone for both tourist and residents to enjoy nature. To compare it, Seoul Forest is like Central Park in New York.
HOW TO GET THERE :
You can either stop at Seoul Forest Station using the Bundang Line and go to exit 3. Or you can also stop at Ttukseom Station on Line 2, Exit 8 you will then have a 15 minutes walk to arrive at the park.

HANEUL PARK, instagram worthy during fall

This park is mainly famous during autumn season. โHaneulโ literally means โskyโ in Korean, it does offer some nice view of Seoul but not only. This park is the perfect example of ecological and urban regeneration. Itโs open from 5AM to 10PM. The opening hours can be modificate regarding of the season. This park is the greatest during its Silver Festival. Make sure to check it out at this time !
HOW TO GET THERE :
Head to World Cup Stadium Station on Line 6, and get to exit 1, then walk for about 25 minutes to arrive at the bottom of the park. Then to access to the park you have two options :
- By foot : There is a wooden stairway with 291 steps.
- By Park Electric Tram : The round trip fare is 3 000 Won.
YEOUIDO HANGANG PARK, to enjoy chimaek

On the Yeouido island, you can find this very accessible park. It is one of the most popular park along the Han River. This park offers plenty of event all year-round so do not hesitate to visit anytime. For example, during summer, you can enjoy water fountains and an exciting street food festival. All year round, you can easily rent bike and go around the park. The most appreciated activity of the park from locals is to enjoy picnics. Gather there with your friends and get some delivery food with some drinks (no alcohol allowed).
HOW TO GET THERE :
Get to Yeouinaru Station, Subway Line 5 and head to either exit 2 or 3.
GYEONGUI LINE FOREST PARK, to stay around the city

This park in between Hongdae and Sinchon is well known for being a chill place to enjoy drink with friends during night time. During day time itโs a pretty walk in between shops and nice cafes. Both day and night you might find buskers singing or dancing there.
HOW TO GET THERE :
After getting out exit 3 from Hongik University Station, Subway Line 2 & Gyeongui-Jungang Line & Airport Railroad, walk only a few meters to go inside the park.
