Everyone knows South Korea has a lot of cool cafes up their sleeves. Their interior design, weirdly placed cafe locations, cute desserts and many more!
In this post however, I will introduce you the top 2 coolest and also in some ways weird, cafes. Let’s get started.
Cafe Ara ์๋ผ์นดํ (Aquarium Cafe in Suwon)
Firstly, a cafe named Cafe Ara, an aquarium cafe. The name of the cafe is self explanatory. It’s a cafe with a couple of aquariums in them. It’s not just ordinary aquariums, they have fishes that can only be seen at professional aquarias.
Some of the fishes being dory and baby sharks! In addition to that, not only do they have cool fishes but the interior of the cafe itself is really pretty.
Here’s a video of the aquariums in the cafe:
Check out their instagram to see more of the interior & their newly updated menu!.

Travel Break Coffee in Taean
Secondly, a cafe named Travel Break Coffee. This cafe is located in Taean. A quaint little town located to the west of South Korea. In addition to that, this cafe lands itself on the hard to believe cafes list in South Korea because of it’s location. It’s in the middle of nowhere.
The surrounding building are local marts and housing areas. Quick heads up, I suggest you rent a car and drive there. The public transportation isn’t as reliable like in Seoul or Gyeonggido area.
There are more locals than foreigners here too. Only because it’s not that well known to foreigners. Hopefully through this post it will be!
It is also the biggest cafe I’ve ever been to in South Korea. It is a two story cafe with multiple balcony extension. They have so many sitting place and you have yourself a relaxing view of greenery.
This place has its different charms during the day and at night.
