Sunae-dong (์๋ด๋) is a place in the Bundang neighborhood in the city of Seongnam, Gyeongi province in South Korea. The Sunae station on the Bundang line (Yellow line) of the Seoul metro serves best to reach there. So, the best way to reach Sunae is by the subway and also using the Tancheon park banks.
About Tancheon
Tancheon is a tributary of Seoulโs very famous Han River. It originates from the city of Yongin in Gyeonggi-do. It flows throughout Seongnam and then follows into Songpa-gu and Gangnam-gu districts of Seoul before finally entering into the Han river. The total length of Tancheon is 35.6 kilometers.

Tancheon is one of the widely recognized and popular symbols of Bundang borough. Each and every stream in Bundang flows towards the Tancheon. The banks of Tancheon serve as very large parks with paving for both cyclists and walkers to enjoy at any time of the day.
Facilities in Tancheon Park
These kind of long and peaceful areas are very popular and highly utilized by almost each and every person living near them. Each area has many facilities provided with respect to them. For example, basketball courts, areas for skate boarding, football fields and many benches sorted out over a range of distance.

Occasionally, there are foot bridges also which connect one river bank to the other but of course these are in addition to bridges already present for the vehicles and traffic.

Many exercise equipments are also installed along with the benches on the river banks which are accessible for anyone. The government has taken many wonderful measures to create a really good neighborhood environment for all the people living around. Tancheon park is very popular within the local residents as well.

How we enjoyed the evening in Sunae-dong
We exited the subway station using the exit number 3 which opens out to the Lotte Department Store. Many other showrooms surround this store from the outside and there are a lot of seating areas encircling trees for people to sit and relax. The Lotte Department store has a variety of showrooms as we can expect because of the popularity of Lotte.

This Lotte Store had a unique designated place made into the shape of a square for people to sit, chit chat, enjoy coffee or even do any work there. It is known as Charlotte Square and is very well lit using various lightings and there are small pots of various decorative plants too.

Leaving the Lotte Store behind, we took a right turn towards the Tancheon park area and reached over to this magnificent bridge which had a view worth dying for. I am not joking. Personally, I like to be amidst the nature as much as possible where there is utter peace and serene vibes.
On the bridge
The small stream of water flowing underneath with a slight ripple sound was soothing. After a hectic week full of work, it feels good to be standing there on the bridge, eating Ice cream. I love enjoying the moody and cloudy weather that God bestows upon us. The cool breeze relaxed my otherwise chaotic mind and all I wanted was to just freeze that moment.

I keep on just staring at the clouds and to be honest, I enjoy every second of it and it makes me feel very much alive. I captured many pictures as well and had fun with all my friends there.

After that, we got off the bridge into the park to walk amidst the flowers. We walked along the stream of water, cracking jokes, having fun and clicking loads and loads of pictures.
Night Lights
After having a lot of fun and enjoying the breeze, we had dinner in an Indian restaurant about which I will share in an another post. While on our way back, the night landscape of this place was equally mesmerizing for Me. I sat there on the bridge, enjoying the cool breeze from the river and watching the clouds fly by us. The shining building lights gave immense credibility to the landscape and I really loved it.

Remarks
This experience with nature and the efforts of us humans to make leisure times better was really amazing. I want to have many more experiences like this.
