Busan Gamcheon Culture Village is famous for beautifully and colorfully painted houses, steep alleys surrounded by hills and ocean in the background. Because of its location on a steep mountain, it is also known as Machu Picchu of Busan. The place has so much to offer that it has become one of the most popular tourist places in Busan.

The place offers a beautiful view and has a unique charm. You can find beautiful murals and arts installed here. There is also a small observatory to observe the view of all colorful houses with the background of mountains and sea.

If you like to avoid crowds then I recommend you to visit on a weekday. On the weekend the place becomes crowded as it is emerging a trendy place to visit. Also, if you are visiting in summer, visit this place in the morning or evening. I visited during the afternoon hours and it was so hot. Since the place was beautiful I did not mind walking much. But it is better to witness this beauty without getting bothered by the weather.
Stamp Tour
Stamp rally is a fun way to explore the beauty of this cultural village. Get a map from the information desk and start your stamp rally. There are some designated spots in the village, if you visit those spots you can get the stamps. When you collect all the stamps you can get a surprise gift from the information desk. If you are interested in doing such activities I recommend you try a stamp tour while exploring the place.
Cafรฉ Tour
With the increment of tourists in the Gamcheon Culture village, various cafes started opening in the area. If you are fond of cafรฉ culture I recommend you to visit at least a cafรฉ here and see the beauty of the village. The cafรฉs not only offer a beautiful view of the village and sea, but they have a beautiful and unique interior as well. You can get one of your best Instagram shots here.
I have visited three cafรฉ in Gamcheon cultural village itself. It was so tempting that I could not help but not to miss those cafรฉs and move ahead. It is also good to have this many cafes in the area. Because the area is quite steep and it is easy to get tired while looking around the area as it is not a small place to visit. Keep exploring it and take a small break in between at a cafe while getting one of Instagram worthy shots.

Eating There
The place might not have various high-end restaurants but it offers various street foods to try. You can find lots of stall selling delicious food. I have tried Pajeon there. It was so delicious. Instead of trying some famous and easy to find food I recommend you to try Pajeon (Kimchi Pajeon and Seafood Pajeon). You can also have dessert at various cafes in the area.
