Busan is the second-largest city in South Korea, with a population of 3.5 million people. It is located on the southeast coast of the country. With a beautiful coastline and widespread mountain ranges, Busan is well known for its sights. Also, there are plenty of modern sites inside the city to enjoy. We will also have a look at the cooking class, which is fruitful and meaningful during the journey.
1. Busan Cooking class in Korea

In Busan, there is a cooking class that you can try making Korean food! The program usually starts at 10 AM and lasts about three and a half hours. There are two classes that you can try cooking: Bibimbap, the traditional one with rice and various kinds of vegetables, and Dongnae Pajeon, which is a pancake with green onion and seafood.
This is how to make. First, put seafood and sauce that are provided. Second, add green onion and bake fry ingredients. This is the result.

It looks delicious as it looks like in the picture. With pancake, 3 other menus are also served. If you visit the website www.busancookingclass.com, you can find other menus that you can cook. While three menus are fixed, the last menu is a seasonal menu. It would be the best and most delicious food among 4 dishes. There are also local tea tasting with local rice wine and seasonal fruit. This place is near tour spots in Busan city, so you can easily take a walk after the class as well.

2. Gamcheon Cultural Village

Gamcheon Village is located in the mountain area in west Busan. The village was first established during the Korean War when Busan was a temporal capital of South Korea. Since many people were refugees and there is little flat area inside Busan, they could not help living in the mountain area of Busan. In 2007, the village started to redevelop as a cultural village due to the rapid decrease in population. Now this place is one of the most famous tour spots in Busan.

There are lots of vintage-looking cafes and dining places that are attracting tourists. Also, it is fun to walk inside the maze-looking narrow path inside the village! I found a place that sells tasty macaron in the village. Want to have some?
How to visit: Take the bus (Saha 1, Saha 1-1) at Toseong station, Line 1.
3. The bay 101

The bay 101 is a 3-story-building with cafes, bars, and restaurants which is located at Haeundae beach. Haeundae beach is the most popular beach in Korea. In the year 2019, approximately 11 million tourists visited the beach, located in the east part of Busan. It looks a little gloomy in the daytime, but at night, you can overlook the view of highrise skyscrapers in Busan. Due to the geographical problem that Busan is at the coastline with high mountains, there aren’t many places to build enough residential areas for Busan citizens. Therefore, high rise apartments were built next to the coastline. The view from the bar in the cafe combined with ocean and high buildings is the unique view that you can find in Korea. Even though the price of beer and other foods is relatively expensive, the view is worth sitting in the bar.

How to visit: Dongbaek Station (line 2, exit 1). Upon exit, walk straight forward along Dongbaek-ro to reach The Bay 101 on your right. (You should walk for about 10 minutes)
4. Surfing (Surf holic) in Korea
There is also a surf teaching place at Songjeong Beach. Even though Haeundae beach is the most famous one in Korea, it is not an appropriate seashore to surf. There are many surfing teaching companies at Songjeong beach. First, there is a 2-hour-class, and then you can ride on the surfing board free. If you want to have a lesson, you can visit http://www.surfholic.co.kr/ to get the information and to reserve. The fee is about 65,000 won for beginners.
5. Yacht
At last, there is a place that you can sail on the yacht. The pier is located next to The bay 101. It departs every one hour from 11 AM to 19. The yacht goes along the Haeundae beach, Gwanganni Beach, the second popular beach in Busan, and the Gwangan Bridge, the long bridge that passes in front of the Gwanganni beach. If you want further information, you can send an email to yachtworld_b@naver.com.
