Incheon is the third most-populous city in South Korea after Seoul and Busan and it is an expanding metropolis and international industrial port. So close to Seoul and Ganghwa island, this city has so many tourist spots and China Town is one of the most famous places where attracts so many tourists coming to visit. Do you know that around China Town there are also some places that are worth visiting? In this post, I will introduce to you more about this area where you are not only can feel China vibe but also can enjoy beautiful foliage in autumn.
Incheon Art Platform (์ธ์ฒ ์ํธํ๋ซํผ)
Right next to China Townโs gate is Art Platform area. This area is a multiplex cultural arts center that is rich in history.
The buildings here were built during 1930s-40s and now was renovated into creative art and design studios. Beside of that there are so many interesting status and corners in this area.
If you are K-drama fans, you may recognize some Goblinโs (a famous K-drama) scenes here.

Japan Area
Right next to the Art Platform is Japan area where you can feel strongly Japan vibe with bank, houses and buildings in Japan architecture. Those buildings were built by Japanese and this area was also where Japanese lived in the past. Although they were built for a long time all of them are all well maintained and was redesigned becoming museum, restaurants or coffee house.

Jayu Park (์์ ๊ณต์)
Following the road from Japan area, there is a way take you to a Hanok museum on the way to Jayu Park. Walking on this way, you can enjoy the beauty of foliage in autumn that surrounding a small hanok museum.



Keep walking, you will arrive beautiful Jayu Park after five or ten minutes.
Jayu park is the first western style park in South Korea. If you go there in autumn, you will be fall in love with beautiful golden brown and red foliage. There is a long road between those colorful trees so that you will have stunning photo here for sure. Not only beautiful foliage attracts your eyes but also beautiful rose garden here will make you fall for it.
There was a beautiful scene that was caught by my eyes was that there was a man feeding doves by his bread and that scene was so peaceful and warm.

China Town
Keep walking on the gorgeous road of Jayu park, this road will take you to China Town.
Donโt forget take a photo with this amazing gate. Just go through this gate, a small town in China architecture will appear in front of your eyes. Itโs like a lucky world full of red color that is a lucky color of Chinese.



Letโs enjoy China food here. There are so many restaurants that serve china food. And here was our meal here. It was white jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). You may usually hear about jajangmyeon that is noodles in black bean sauce but here you can try a white one that is noodles in a special sauce not in black bean sauce as usual and here is the only place that serve that dish.

You also can find some kinds of street foods, snacks and toys of China that will make you feel like you are really in China.

Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village (์ก์๋ ๋ํ๋ง์)

Right next to China Town is Songwol-dong fairy tale village where you can be lost in fairy tale world.

This village was designed as a fairy world. If you love fairy story this village is for you. There are so many status of characters in fairy tales and some fairy scenes were built here. All the houses here were painted so dreamy.

There are also many lovely coffee houses for you to take a break.

TIPย : All those places are next to each other so you just only need to park your car (if you drive) at one place then walk. If you go there in autumn you should follow the itinerary above to admire beautiful foliage. Anyways, foliage time in Incheon is later than in Seoul so if you miss the time enjoying foliage in Seoul you can go to Incheon to enjoy it.
