Korean cuisine has so many different delicacies to enjoy. Ashley has many dishes which are common throughout the entire country whereas some dishes are unique to a restaurant only.
I have had the experience to taste many such different and unique dishes. This blog is about a food outlet that really impressed Me with the variety of dishes and their commendable taste.
Ashley (애슐리) is a buffet themed restaurant chain in Korea which was founded in 2003. It is owned by E-Land Group which is a conglomerate. There are more than 140 retail stores under E-Land Group under the name Ashley.

The specialty of Ashley’s is their Steak although all the dishes they serve are really delicious. They have a mixed variety of native Korean dishes. American cuisine and food from various different countries is also served! So, it was the birthday of one of My closest friends and we all went there to have a great lunch.
The Inside Vibe
It is very important for any restaurant to have a good vibe. For a person who has come to enjoy a meal, a clean and well decorated place is really a significant factor. Ashley’s passed this checkpoint with flying colors.

There is a common dining area just like high school where many tables are arranged around. This is a big open space and is a little less private. For privacy and many larger groups to eat, there are different sections which are divided with partitions for groups of people who would want to eat in isolation.
These partition rooms are also decorated in a very unique and quirky manner. There is melancholic soft music playing which allows you to have a conversation as well. Although, I don’t really talk much while eating but still it is a good thing to have light music playing. Overall, there is no negative point in my opinion about the atmosphere to dine at Ashley’s.

Pricing
- For the Salad Bar, the weekday lunch costs 13,900 won and at the weekends and holidays it costs 19,900 won.

The price compared to the services provided and the taste is really justifiable.
What is on the Main Menu?
Okay, so starting from salads and soups, there are variety of option to choose from. Soups can be mixed with noodles and a whole lot of vegetable or other toppings can be added to make the perfect starter.

The salad stand has both vegetables and fruits. There are different combinations of vegetable salads from which you can choose from. A wide variety of fruits are also available.

Moving forward to the main course, I was greeted with 3 different kinds of Pasta dishes. (I love Pasta. A lot!!)

The BBQ stall was the next one. It had 3 different steaks:
- Teriyaki-fish Steak
- Butter Garlic Shrimp Steak
- Chicken Steak (My favourite)

Moving onto the other stalls, I found the Pepperoni Mac and Cheese, Chili Seaweed Rolls, Dumplings and Spicy Tteok-bokki.

The next stall had different noodle based dishes. I am not much of a noodle fan but Spicy Buckwheat Noodles were really amazing. The Mapa Tofu was a delicacy similar to the Manchurian dish and I liked it too.

Many beverage options were available to wash down the food. These included carbonated sodas, non-alcoholic wine tea, green tea and of course Beer. Coffee was also available there but I am sure, it is more of an after meal option for mostly everyone.

Sweet Dessert
After all the good food, it was time for dessert. Yumm^^

Many options were available ranging from chocolate mousse to pastries and cheesecakes, jellies and ice creams.

But the show stopper was DIY waffles.

Using the pre-mix material, we can prepare waffles according to our own requirement. Then we can use the honey syrup, chocolate fountain, whipped cream and other candy stuff to use as a topping.

Conclusion
Overall, for Me, it cannot get better than what I experienced at Ashley’s. But everyone has their own opinions.
Do, try and visit any Ashley store you can and have a great meal. If there are any other buffet houses I can try, please share it in the comments section!
