Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, first established in the 1920s, offers a unique mix of modern and traditional elements. Despite the passage of time, the village is still a lived-in neighborhood, home to many residents. The twists and turns of narrow alleys may seem all the same, but each path is lined with attractive shops and cafรฉs decorated with unique characteristics of their own. Itโs no surprise that these alleyways are referred to as โphoto zonesโ as the colorful shops make the perfect backdrop for photogenic moments. There are no directions or guide maps within the village, so itโs advised to take note of any shops or murals that stand out to use as path markers.
Today I want to tell you about a place where the most beautiful and lovely coffee houses, restaurants with unusual designs and clothing boutiques with vintage dresses are gathered.ย
1. Salladaeng Bangkok
The first place we went is called Salladaeng Bangkok. This is a Thai restaurant. Very beautiful restaurant with an unusual design for Korea.ย
As soon as you enter the restaurant, you get the feeling that you have come to Thailand to relax. A lot of greenery, a fountain, a beautiful chandelier. You are immediately greeted by a waiter. A waiter brings you water and menu. This restaurant has dishes with noodles or rice, various salads, soft drinks, wine, as well as coffee.
We ordered a rice dish. They gave us it with shrimp, seafood, chicken, and herbs. There was also a slice of lemon. All the dishes in this restaurant are spicy. A lot of garlic and pepper are added to the dish. The salad was with carrots, radish, pineapple, pepper, a slice of lemon, and pitaya. A very unusual combination of tastes. I would say that the salad has a specific taste. I think heโs an amateur because I really didnโt like it (next time I would not order it), but my friend really liked this salad. She even decided that she would try to cook it at home. The presentation of the dishes is very beautiful. This place is very atmospheric, but the has an unusual smell, I think this is due to the various seasonings that are added to the dishes.ย ย
This is a photo of a dish which we tried today.ย

2. Gamkkotdangย
Next, we came to the coffee shop in a traditional style. We came here because there were a lot of people.ย
The cafe is very beautiful, the light inside, many flowers and cozy. It seems that the owner of this cafe loves cats because there are figurines of cats on almost every corner of this coffee shop. A lot of greenery is used in the design and even a tree grows inside the cafe. Chairs in the form of a coffee mug looks interesting. There is a separate room where you can retire with partners and talk about work or smt else. The common room is quite noisy. ย ย Many autographs hung on the walls. It seems that celebrities often come here.ย
Very nice staff advised us to try a set of 3 cakes, which cost only 10,000 won. We chose it because the price was very competitive. It all looks like this picture. It was very tasty. My friend and I especially liked the egg tart.ย

And this is a place where you can take beautiful photos as a keepsake. Usually, there are rooms on different topics. Choose one room, put yourself in order and take pictures. The photos are printed in duplicate so that everyone takes one photo with them. In such places, there are always a lot of couples.ย ย
The streets of this area look like this. A lot of old houses in the traditional style were converted into coffee shops, restaurants, and vintage-style clothing stores.ย
The dresses that are sold here are very beautiful and will suit many girls. Unfortunately, they cannot be measured, because they are all of the same standard sizes. And I also could not resist and bought myself one dress.
Near clothing boutiques, there are photo areas where anyone can take a picture. I also took a photo as a keepsake.
On this side were sold various souvenirs, diffusers, body oils, postcards and envelopes for letters. It all looks very cute.
Still sold such miniature flowers and cacti. The boys gave it to their girls.
I really like how bouquets are made out in Korea. Always tasteful and cute. By the way, the flowers are durable. Will delight you for a long time.
There are such photo zones on the walls of the restaurant. You can make a beautiful selfie.
