History of N-Seoul Tower
This N-Seoul Tower is also Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower. For approximately $2.3 million, this was built in 1969. It took several years to do some renovations inside and get the right architecture done but it was open for public back in 1980. Whereas it was completely ready some time before.
But in October, the government decided to open it up for its amazing observatory deck, museum, open hall, souvenir shops etc. Elevation of this tower ranges from 236.7 m (777 ft) at the base to 479.7 m (1,574 ft) above sea level.
Why the word N beside this tower
So it’s quite interesting to say that “N” stands for ‘new’, ‘Namsan’, and ‘nature’ and this change was made in 2005. Before, its official name was CJ Seoul Tower. The governments have been spending a generous amount on this tower to make it worldwide interesting. Almost 15 billion KRW has been spent on renovating and remodeling it.

Okay enough with the history and all, now let’s get to the fun part. One of the main interesting features of this tower that catches our eye is the fact that it’s the first general radio wave tower that holds transmissions antennas of KBS, MBC, SBS TV, FM, PBC, TBS, CBS, and BBS FM.
Another fun fact is that it’s situated 480 meters above sea level, so imagine your sight !!

What can you do at N-Seoul Tower
Conveyance is so fun here at N-Seoul Tower, as you can take a cable car (Namsan Cable Car) to the Mountain Namsan to get to the tower. The view has amazing cityscape views and is a national landmark. Since this tower is at the Namsan Mountain, it attracts thousands of people not just locals but foreigners to get there.
