Sports Monster is a place for light recreational sports and entertainment indoors. Summer can get real hot and dry in South Korea, a perfect timing to escape indoors. If you’re looking for a place to sweat out and have exhilarating adrenaline fun indoors, Sports Monster is the place for you.
Sports Monster has about 30 activities, they are divided into Basic Zone, Exciting Zone, Adventure Zone, and Digital Zone. They offer many facilities, consisting of a VR experience section, rock climbing, tennis, darts, trampoline set up, pistol shooting, and many more.
Sport Monster has many branches. The branch that I will be introducing here, is the branch at Hannam Starfield, Gyeonggido, South Korea. Hanam Starfield is a huge mall offering variety of stores, Sport Monster is located at the forth floor. The fact that it is located in a mall, makes it convenient for you to look for a place for lunch or dinner right after.
The price?ย
For one time entry, 24,000 won for 2 hours. Therefore, you need to make use of these 2 hours well because there are so many activities in there to enjoy. They have membership payments too for the whole year, for more information on that you can visit their website at sportsmonster.co.kr. The entrance price includes every facility inside, so there won’t be any extra charges.

Height factor
If you’re going with kids under 150cm, depending on how tall they are, certain rides are not allowed for them. Adults 150cm and above are free to try out all the facilities offered inside.
Sport Monster operates daily from 10am – 9pm on weekdays and 10am – 10pm on weekends.

Now let’s talk about some of the activities you can enjoy there.
VR Experience
As soon as you go in, you will find the VR experience section to your left. However, if you’re someone who gets dizzy easily, I suggest you ride this last if you want to. VR experiences for me in general are dizzy, so if you’re not sure if you’re the type to get dizzy, it’s safer to ride that the last.

Monster Slide
They also have a Monster Slide, a long slide that you take off on from a high place. It makes you feel like you’re a kid again. The Monster Slide can be seen in the photo above behind the girl riding the VR.
Dart

The dart section is one of the activities that require the least energy. It’s a great section to start off. Located opposite the dart section, are small Korean style karaoke rooms. If you feel like singing a few songs, they’ve got you covered too!
Rope Course

The dangling thing that you see in the picture above is called the ‘Rope Course’. A test for your body balance.
Rock Climbing
Rock climbing was my favourite part. I like how they have the rock climbing tracks divided according to the difficulties. So you would climbing the one that suits your abilities and save yourself from taking the hard track immediately if youโre a first timer. They have a timer that time you climb up too. Also, the safety helmets they provide you, are animal characters which was so cute!

If you’re already an experienced rock climber, they have harder tracks in the other room.

Besides that, at the rock climbing section, you will find this. You climb all the way to the top, launch yourself forward to hug the red thing. If you’re someone adventurous, you should definitely try it out!
Besides that, all mentioned above, they offer so many other fun sports like cycling, basketball, soccer and many more. Whenever you look for a place for a rush of adrenaline, Sports Monster it is.
