Do you enjoy being at a thrilling height of half a kilometer in the air? Certainly not a great option for those having aerophobia or suffering from heart attack. But for those who enjoy heights and desiring a wonderful bird-eye view from the top, Seoul Sky is your thing!
Lotte World Tower
Seoul Sky is the top floors (117th-123rd floor) of Lotte Tower located in Jamsil of Seoul. Apart from Seoul Sky, Lotte Tower has also covered residence, offices and hotels in the other floors. It also has a luxurious duty-free department store placed just beside, where you could enjoy all luxury fashion, fancy restaurants and cafes.
Our journey in Seoul Sky starts here
Before going up to the observatory deck of Seoul Sky, we had our early dinner in a Japanese restaurant named Kokoro Bento in Lotte World Mall. The restaurant is in the 3rd floor right beside the escalator. Certainly, it was decorated in Japanese style and we enjoyed the atmosphere while having some Char Siu Bentos.
Getting our tickets
After leaving the restaurant, we shopped around the mall before heading to the entrance of Seoul Sky, which is located at the B1 floor of Lotte World Tower. We got the tickets and we were ready to visit the highest floors of South Korea!
The tickets for adults cost 27000 won per person. Their operation time can vary due to the current situation of COVID-19. Make sure to check their hours and reserve tickets online before visiting! This is their website in English.

Photo zones and exhibitions
Along our way towards the entrance, there were some photo zones with edited backgrounds and an experienced photographer taking pictures of us. The photos could be viewed and printed after paying at the machines on the top floors. Also there were various exhibitions based on the theme “The Pride of Korea” where you could see the architectural structures and design of Lotte Tower.
An elevator flies us up to Seoul Sky
Then, we were guided to an elevator leading us up to the Seoul Sky observatory deck. The elevator trip took about 40 seconds with a very high speed that had gotten me a pressure shock in my ears for quite a while. Well, it was fine. Finally, we reached the 117th floor which was 472m above the bottom.
Another photo zones
As we set our feet out of the elevators, what awaited us was a series of beautiful photo zones in a long walkway. We took some photos and quickly headed to the observatory deck.
The observatory deck of Seoul Sky
It was there where you could take a gorgeous 360-degree view of Seoul, the capital city of South Korea and also enjoy watching bustling Seoul city through the glass floor under your feet. That was amazing!

Not only the sky deck, there were also some restaurants and cafes for chill and chat while enjoying breathtaking views of Seoul City. Imagine taking a sip of coffee plus biting a mint-flavoured macaroon while watching the night view through the glass. Isn’t that wonderful?
This is the end of our Seoul Sky Tour. Hope you enjoy reading this and please don’t hesitate to visit Seoul Sky!
